A two bedroom, self contained holiday cottage in Nairn.

Overview
Our two bedroom holiday cottage, is attached to the main house, but is self contained with its own entrance and garden. On the ground floor there is a light and airy living area with dining section and a small kitchen with hob, oven, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

Sleeping
A double bedroom on the ground floor and a twin bedroom on the first floor are both en-suite, the double with a shower and the twin with a bath. The twin room is accessed via a spiral staircase from the living area.

General
The cottage sleeps a maximum of four persons plus a cot (under 2). Pets are not allowed. A small garden is available for guests use. The cottage has full gas central heating, WiFi and a Smart TV. All tariffs are inclusive of gas, electricity, towels and linen.

Essentials
The property is non smoking throughout. Private parking is available in the grounds for one or two cars and on street parking is also available. Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00.
Important: The cottage has quite a quirky layout due to its age! Some of the rooms are irregular shapes and the upper floor has a sloping ceiling with low head height access to the en suite bathroom. The spiral staircase may not be suitable for young children or those with mobility issues.

The cottage is situated in the seaside town of Nairn, on the Moray Firth, around 16 miles east of Inverness.

The Activities

A selection of activities (some free and some at extra cost) in and around Nairn.

Have fun on Nairn's beaches. Ideal for sand lovers and those who like to investigate the wildlife in rock pools.

Sample some malt whisky at one (or more!) of the many distilleries in the area. Benromach Distillery is the smallest working distillery in Speyside and also the closest to The Cottage.

Go dolphin watching on the Moray Firth

Immerse yourself in history and visit one or all of the areas historic castles and battlefields. Cawdor Castle the closest to North End Nairn

Treat yourself (or your partner) and have a kilt specially made by one of several kiltmakers in Inverness

Nature lovers can visit the nearby RSPB reserve at Culbin Sands

The River Nairn has good runs of salmon and sea trout and there is river and loch fishing for brown trout

Enjoy Nairn and Inverness at a more leisurely pace on two wheels.

Play golf on one (or both) of Nairn's two championship courses or one of the many others in the area. Nairn Golf Club and Nairn Dunbar are both within 5 minutes drive of our Nairn accommodation.

Bird watching and wildlife photography trips can be arranged through A9Birds based in Moray. Tailored full or half-day trips are offered for individuals or small groups.

Nairn has a selection of good places to eat. Within 5 minutes walk of North End Nairn is the Classroom Bistro, a relaxing place to eat and drink.

The Nairn Highland Games are held in August and during the summer there is an active timetable of games throughout the Highlands.
